I guess they are the ordinary plastic white window blinds…
Anyways, wiping them down with a damp rag is kinda hard to do! The blinds keep moving and the dirt is just still sticking to the blinds. I was just wondering if there is an easier way to do it?
Hello,
We just moved into a new house in Oklahoma City and my bedroom window is the kind that opens up by sliding it to the right or left. So, There isn’t a space or gap at the top where blinds usually go. Is there a way to put blinds on the window by hanging it above the window? If so, where can I get these and what kind?
OKC Blinds Cleaning Tips
Clean wood blinds without taking them down with a window blinds duster or a brush attachment for the vacuum. Same for shades, verticals and shutters. You can also use a damp dust cloth to clean window treatmetns. Bottom line, all the methods are pretty tedious due to the strings in the middle of the blinds.

Just would like to know as I have previously owned both plastic and wooden window blinds and they have both snapped over the years. I am thinking that metal (I think they are aluminium) would be the answer to everything. Does anyone know a windot treatment store in Oklahoma City that has a large selection of metal window blinds?
I take them down put them in hot soapy water in the bath tub. Works for me. Or I was at Walmart in the curtains and blinds area and found a small gadget that cleans window blinds. It has five rods that are covered in a furry material, the whole thing is handheld. You run the louvers between the rods and it picks up the dust. It was very inexpensive, less than $5, but works like a charm!
I will have to get measurements, but I have a window in my bedroom, which is a pretty large size, but has vertical blinds and I’m trying to figure out ideas for curtains/window treatments to ‘pretty’ up the space.
Only mini-blinds or vertical blinds will give you the options of the window glass being fully or partially exposed whenever you want and in an easy fashion. If you want to merely add curtains but retain the blinds for privacy, then you could get a set of double curtain rods. Put a fancy valance on the outer rod and coordinating sheer curtains or heavier slub silk or velvet curtains on the inner rod. When you draw them closed, they would cover the blinds but when they’re left at the sides, the blinds are exposed and you can open them to let in full or partial light. Good luck!!
hey does anyone make a window tint for home windows that you can see out but cant see in? so i can have privacy and be able to enjoy the outside view at the same time
To allow your fellow passengers who aren’t seated near the windows to enjoy the view. They also ask for you to close the blinds if they’re showing an in-flight movie as a courtesy to those who want to watch. It prevents the glare from sunlight obscuring the screen.
I have white faux wood blinds throughout my house. They get dusty from time to time and it’s a b**** cleaning them by hand. Is there are more efficient way to get them clean without resorting to a moist towel and wiping them down by hand?
